Vampire Armada is the longest novel I’ve ever written.

There is still final editing to do before proofing and publishing but it will be out this month.

Apologies for those of you who have been waiting quite a long time for this, I have been working very hard.

Not entirely on this, admittedly, but mostly. I have also been spending time on the wider series. I now have to get my ducks in a row for the final 6 books in the Immortal Knight Chronicles and so there has been a lot to plan out.

As you know, I try to keep every book fresh and interesting and will continue to do so for the rest of the series. If I was to do the same thing every time it would be quicker and easier to write them but I don’t want to do that and I think most of you appreciate it.

I have also been planning the prequel series called Gods of Bronze. This is another pretty huge and, I believe, unique series which will span most of the historic bronze age. I haven’t decided on how many books it will be but at least 6 and perhaps as many as 12. I am very excited about it but it is quite an undertaking.

Like I said, I don’t make things easy for myself.

When Drake made his first attempt to attack the overland treasure route from Panama, the ambush was given away by a drunken English sailor who staggered onto the path. What a bloody idiot.

I’ve also been planning three more Immortal Knight Short Stories which will be a lot of fun.

They are all three set between 1600 and 1630 – I wonder if anyone can guess any of the subjects for these stories?

ANYWAY…

In summary, I have written TWO novels worth of story in this one novel so I hope you understand the delay.

I am sure it will be worth the wait.

Expect epic sea battles, the New World, gunpowder, explosions, great historical figures, heroism and tragedy, thrills, excitement, laughter and buckets of blood.

Are you still looking forward to reading Vampire Armada?
