I am currently writing my new fantasy series which will be called Gods of Bronze. It’s going rather well and is enormous fun to write.
At the same time as I am writing the first story in the series (Godborn) – which will be out next year – I am also writing a short prequel story.
This prequel, like the main series, will take place in the Bronze Age. This short story is my version of the story of Perseus and Medusa.
I haven’t made a final decision on the title of the short story yet and don’t have a cover but I will do after Christmas. This story will serve to set the scene and provide a little background to the main series but will also be an exciting and bloody story in its own right.
My intention is to use the short story to promote the series before it launches and there are various ways I can do that. I hope it works and I hope that people like the story.
The series features gods that walk the earth and monstrous demons that have escaped into the ancient world.
I have been planning and researching this series for a long time and I am excited to be finally focusing on it completely.
I shall keep you posted with my progress and other updates.
Tell me, are you looking forward to Gods of Bronze?
I love ancient history so I am really pleased about your decision to set your books in the era of gods and monsters. Should be immense fun!
Thanks so much Carol-Ann. I hope that the series will be fun! Cheers.
I like this era too. Age of Mythology is a good PC game to complement it 🙂
Nice one Alex, good to know. I’ve never heard of Age of Mythology, I’ll check it out. Cheers!
