I love history. I love dark fantasy. Why wouldn’t I write a historical dark fantasy horror novel series, huh? (I know you didn’t ask me why I wrote it, this is a rhetorical device.)
It is not released yet. It is being proof read but I am too excited to wait to tell you guys about this. Check it out:
Vampire Crusader (The Immortal Knight Chronicles Book 1)
“Wherever great death and evil could be found, William was never far. I fought him in the New World, the Far East and Napoleon’s Europe. He was crusader, outlaw, khan. He was a count, a cavalier and a cardinal. William was a murderer, a devil. A vampire.”
England, 1189. The family and servants of Ashbury Manor are slaughtered by Earl William de Ferrers and his six knights. The dead have had their throats torn to pieces and the killers flee for the Holy Land.
Richard of Ashbury, brother of the murdered lord, swears an oath of vengeance to the dying Lady Isabella. Racing in pursuit, Richard tracks Earl William and his men to the Mediterranean where the Third Crusade is just beginning.
Richard is a young knight alone in the world, without hope of besting even a single one of the brutal men he has sworn to bring to justice. He needs knights of his own to fight alongside him and to get knights he needs riches. Can he impress Richard the Lionheart, the most renowned king in Christendom?
Along the way he falls in love with Alice, a beautiful young widow who is taking her children to find a future in the land of Christ. Alice is everything he ever wanted but can Richard ever be a husband and yet fulfil his oath?
While he fights in the crusade and fights for the woman he loves, Richard continues to hunt William and his men. Unarmed in a dark dungeon he fights Rollo, a disgusting, monstrous Norman. In the hills of Palestine he crosses swords with the mighty Hugo the Giant. In his great hall near Jaffa he grapples with the evil and vicious Ralph the Reaper. These battles lead ever closer to the final climactic confrontation in a cavern of blood.
Why are William’s men so strong and so fast? Why in the name of God do they drink the blood of their victims? To find out, Richard will suffer tragic losses, achieve great triumphs and discover shocking truths about his own origins…
Vampire Crusader is the first part of the Immortal Knight Chronicles, a dark fantasy, historical, horror series that spans 800 years from the 12th Century to the present day. Richard of Ashbury tracks his enemy, William de Ferrers across Europe, Central Asia, the East and the New World. William creates vampires. Richard destroys them. William creates chaos and death and Richard seeks to bring balance to the world by hunting William’s spawn. One day, Richard will have his vengeance or die fighting.
The Immortal Knight Chronicles crosses many genres and will appeal to fans of historical horror novels, medieval history, vampire stories… and immortality.

It sounds fascinating. Is this another series for kids? Good luck with it, anyhow!
Hi Deby, thanks, that’s really great to hear. It is definitely NOT a kids’ series! I wouldn’t want anyone thinking that and I will add a content warning to the product description. My kids’ series is still going and book 3 will be out soon but I am inclined to more adult themes and my other stories will be for adults. Thanks again, appreciate your kind words!
